Inventory
Bed inventory should feel live, not like a spreadsheet snapshot

Hostel inventory changes throughout the day. The useful view is not a static room list, but a live picture of what is occupied, available and about to change.
Beds are operational inventory
A bed is not just a row in a room table. It moves through states as guests arrive, extend stays, change rooms or check out.
That makes hostel inventory unusually dynamic and highly dependent on timing.
Static views hide the next problem
A static spreadsheet can tell you what was true when it was last updated. A useful operational view should tell you what is true now and what is about to become true next.
That means occupancy, arrivals, departures and assignments need to be understood together.
The interface should reduce checking
When the current state is visible and connected, the team stops checking the same details across multiple places.
The result is fewer handoffs, fewer assumptions and a calmer operational flow.
